The paper is concerned with the changes that companies should make for the sake of their market survival in the conditions of economic crisis.The objective of the paper is undertaking measures aimed at increase of work productivity and production quality taking into account decreasing demand. The paper focuses on the basic production controls aimed at ensuring the quality level of production of goods and services in companies so as to meet the needs of consumers with decreased purchasing power. The paper deals with the following main topics: (1) production; (2) work productivity; (3) quality; (4) strategies, systems and processes; (5) management of production operations; (6) production operations control; (7) analysis of break even.References
