Abstract

As it is already known, the BiH market is quite specific, including the industrial sector especially in regards of the Concentration Council of BiH. Namely, the Republika Srpska market, Federation market and Brcko District market are reviewed separately in BiH. The Competition Council of BiH has resolved this problem by opening its offices in each of the named markets in order to monitor more efficiently the changes in the market concentration. Since its establishment up to these days, the Competition Council of BiH has resolved numerous over-take, acquisition and merger requests of the companies on the territory of BiH. It should be emphasized, that the main reason for such a great number of concentration cases is the transition, i.e. privatization in BiH, giving way to significant sale of the state capital share in all companies in BiH, which naturally attracted foreign investors and companies. It is understandable that BiH will be even more attractive for investors when it signs the agreement with EU on stabilization and accession, which will make more work for the Competition Council of BiH. The concentration on certain Bosnia and Herzegovina markets will be further considered in the paper.
