CHALLENGES OF ECONOMIST PROFILE EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

Abstract

The paper elaborates certain aspects of education in general, especially education of economists under contemporary conditions, in accordance with the needs and challenges imposed at the beginning of the 21st century. It is the frame for views, attitudes and comments based on the implementation of the Bologna process in the existing higher education (legal) framework in BiH and Republika Srpska. The first part of the paper indicates the inevitability and necessity to adapt the education of economists, through all three study-cycles, to development and new achievements in science, on one hand, and needs of practice at the beginning of the 21st century, on the other hand. In the second and the third part of the paper the author has focused his attention on the interests and challenges of education for economists in the field of finances and accounting, as branches of economics.
