Abstract

The history of statistics has followed its development in time continuity for more than three centuries. The paper presents in short the past development of statistics in terms of the contemporary explanation of this term that involves triple content. The objective of the paper is to view the present importance of statistics as the result of its continuous interactive relationship with the needs of the community and other sciences.
